This growing mobile technology company located in Oxford is looking to hire a Junior Device Support Technician that will also get involved in testing their products prior to release to their customers.
They are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic tech-savvy individual and you will be supporting their team of Android development engineers in a wide range of technically oriented activities including:
-configuring and preparing new builds of software,
-testing new versions of their software in the office,
-testing new versions of their software at near-by venues around Oxford,
-supporting remotely other staff collecting data or testing handset software at customer sites.
-2 or more A levels or equivalent. 5 or more good GCSE passes, including Maths and English.
-Good general level of IT literacy including Microsoft Office
-Attention to detail, with a patient and methodical approach
-Willingness to help and support other team members
-Enjoys problem solving
-Gains satisfaction from completing tasks to a high standard
Desirable skills and experience:
-Experience of Linux and Python is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
They will provide you with full training in the use of their software tools and processes in order to perform at a high standard. They will also provide you with a range of opportunities to enhance your learning and development over time, through mentoring, on the job training and from time to time formal training courses.
As you demonstrate success in your role, there will be opportunities for promotion and progression- for example, by taking on a wider range of duties or taking a higher level of responsibility.
